Joe Biden refers to Kamala Harris as ‘president-elect’

Come on, man!

Joe Biden raised eyebrows Tuesday when he accidentally referred to Kamala Harris as “president-elect.”

The real president-elect was delivering remarks on the COVID-19 crisis in Wilmington, Del., when he gave his incoming vice president a massive promotion.

“I hope the president will clearly and unambiguously urge all Americans to take the vaccine once it’s available,” Biden said.

“I took it to instill public confidence in the vaccine. President-elect Harris took hers today for the same reason,” he went on after Harris received the jab earlier Tuesday.

Biden, 78, has been dogged by suggestions he is experiencing cognitive decline following a White House run blemished by repeated gaffes and other instances of him becoming confused or tongue-tied.

But Tuesday’s press conference, when he accidentally referred to Harris as the commander-in-chief is sure to thrill critics of Biden, who say the 56-year-old California senator will be the one in charge.

On the campaign trail, Biden insisted that Harris would be ready to lead “from day one,” appearing to address concerns about his advanced age and hinting he would be a one-term president.

It’s become an awkward running joke, with the pair repeatedly making the Freudian slip.

During a virtual roundtable in September, Harris, then the vice presidential candidate, referred to the “Harris administration” while discussing economic plans.

“A Harris administration, together with Joe Biden as the president of the United States,” she said before correcting her slip.

Several days later, Biden also accidentally referred to his presidential ticket as the “Harris-Biden” campaign.

Conservatives have called Harris a “socialist Trojan horse,” claiming that she will push an ultra-progressive agenda and make Biden her puppet.

This is a characterization that Biden strongly dismissed, declaring, “I am the Democratic Party right now” during his first presidential debate with President Trump.
