Both the Petrides and New Dorp girls’ lacrosse teams wrapped up their regular season schedules this week -- though it was the Panthers who ran the table and finished with an unblemished 13-0 record in PSAL play.

Petrides picked up wins over Susan Wagner (8-3) and Midwood (11-4) this week to wrap up the regular season campaign.

Over the two contests, Ayianna Nelson paced the attack with seven scoring strikes, while Shannon O’Connor tallied fives goals and three assists and Isabella O’Dowd piled up 14 saves.

As for New Dorp, which finished the season with a 9-4 record, the Cougars also collected a pair of wins to close out the season -- upending John Adams (11-7) before topping Lincoln (18-2).

Hailey McHenry racked up 10 goals and five assists in the two contests, while Joanna Anikulapo posted a six-goal effort in the win over John Adams.

“I’m very proud of Joanna and Hailey and how they have played,” said ND coach Nick Mangieri. “For four years they have worked together and it’s finally starting to pay dividends...They earned all their accolades.”

Both teams will await this week’s playoff seeding -- though it is known that ND will begin postseason play on Friday, while Petrides kicks off its playoff season on May 13.
