The Erie Police Department will host its annual safe trick or treat Thursday, Oct. 31.

The annual Halloween Safe Stop will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Erie Police Department, 1000 Telleen Ave., according to a news release from the Erie Police Department. Children will receive a Halloween bag, a coloring book and a glow bracelet they can use while trick-or-treating. This year’s theme is Harry Potter.

The department also will offer tours of the police station during the meet-and-greet event. Additionally, children can see McGruff the Crime Dog.
