The Stanford Jazz Festival has announced its 2024 lineup, spotlighting some of the world’s promising jazz artists, including an array of Bay Area musicians.

The festival is set to kick off on June 20, with Oakland-raised trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire’s Owl Song trio performing the next night. The concert series wraps up on Aug. 3 with singer-songwriter Carmen Lundy.

“Each night will feature a unique roster of world-class performers, often in unique pairings you won’t hear anywhere else,” Stanford Jazz Festival’s executive director Cory Combs said in an email. “All together, each performance will showcase exceptional, word-class talent right on the Stanford Campus.”

Tickets for seven select shows are available now, with all 30 of this season’s shows available on April 18. Stanford Jazz Workshop members will get advance access to discounted tickets as early as April 4.
