This is the heartwarming moment a Labrador Retriever saves his sister after she falls into a swimming pool.

Footage captured by retired firefighter paramedic Aaron Tucker from Daytona Beach, Florida, shows his brother's dog throw the end of a rope chew toy to his sibling as she struggles to pull herself to safety.

With his sister holding onto one end of the rope in her jaws and him holding onto the other, the dog heaves her out of the water.

During the clip, which was shared online on September 27, the dogs stand near the edge of the pool before one of them falls in.

The pooch finds an orange chew toy by the side of the pool and throws it over to his sister who desperately tries to bite onto it.

After she loses her grip on the toy, the Labrador throws the rope to her once more as Mr Tucker commentates: 'You're going to grab this thing and then I'm going to pull you out.'

As the Labrador Retriever heaves his sister out of the pool, Mr Tucker continues to with his comic commentary, saying: 'Oh my god you're heavy, you got to go on a diet I'm not kidding.

'There you go now you're safe!'
