Garth Brooks Houston Rodeo Concerts Sell Out In 45 Minutes

Fans gobble up all the tickets for both shows at NRG Stadium to see the country legend

HOUSTON, TX β€” Garth Brooks slowed the Houston Rodeo's internet Friday morning when tickets for his upcoming February and March show at the Rodeo went up for sale. The online-only sale began at 10 a.m. and, 45 minutes later, the website announced both shows at NRG Stadium were already sold out.

More than 20,000 tickets total for the two Garth Brooks concerts were available for purchase online only at rodeohouston.com on a first-come, first-serve basis. The online waiting room started at 9:30 a.m.

HLSR has a strict policy against scalping tickets β€” buying them and selling them at a higher value β€” per policy on their website. They include:

  1. Your season tickets can be voided.
  2. You could lose the right to purchase season tickets in the future.
  3. HLSR members who get caught will lose their membership privileges and be banned for life.
  4. Volunteers will be removed from their committees and banned for life.

The three-week event starts Feb. 27 and concludes March 18, with Brooks playing bookends. Due to ticket demand and availability, all Garth Brooks tickets were sold in advance of the rodeo concert line-up announcement and ticket on-sale, which will be Thursday, Jan. 4, and tickets for the remaining Rodeo performances will go on sale Thursday, Jan. 11.
