On Thursday, the 39-year-old Brazilian beauty shared side-by-side Instagram photos of herself and her mom, Vania Nonnenmacher, when they were both younger, and fans couldn’t help but be shocked by the pair’s remarkable resemblance.
“Mom and I when we were young. Do you think we look alike? #tbt,” the cover girl wrote in the caption, adding a simple red heart emoji as well as a Portuguese translation of the question.
In September 2018, the mother-daughter pair also showed off their lookalike beauty for Vogue Brasil, posing together on the magazine’s cover.
“It feels so good to be with you Mom,” the model wrote on Instagram at the time. “To reconnect with my essence, my origins, to nature. Thank you @voguebrasil for doing the Vogue Roots, it was so special.”
And it’s not just the supermodel and her mom who look basically identical. Gisele also grew up with five sisters — Raquel, Graziela, Gabriela, Rafaela and her fraternal twin, Patrícia — who could all just as easily shoot their own Vogue editorials tomorrow.
