Is there a trailer for And Just Like That season 2?
Yes. On 26 April, HBO Max released the first trailer, and it features Charlotte’s daughter Lily declaring that she’s ready to lose her virginity, a “MILF list” being circulated over lunch, things getting steamy between Miranda and Che, and Carrie reuniting with Aidan.
A second trailer followed on 1 June, giving some insight into the much-hyped Bradshaw-Shaw reunion. As it turns out, it’s Carrie who gets in touch with her former flame (via email, no less). Here’s hoping she’s traded shoegal@aol.com for a slightly less embarrassing username since the Noughties.
Will everyone from And Just Like That season 1 return for season 2?
Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis are all returning for season two, as well as the majority of the And Just Like That newcomers, including Nicole Ari Parker as Lisa Todd Wexley, Sarita Choudhury as Seema Patel, Karen Pittman as Dr Nya Wallace and Sara Ramirez as Che Diaz. We’ll also see more of Miranda and Charlotte’s respective families: Evan Handler as Harry Goldenblatt, Cathy Ang as Lily and Alexa Swinton as Rock, David Eigenberg as Steve Brady and Niall Cunningham as Brady Hobbes. Candice Bergen, meanwhile, will be back as Carrie’s frosty Vogue editor, Enid Frick; Mario Cantone will appear as Anthony Marentino; and both Sam Smith and Gloria Steinem will be making appearances as themselves.

Is Samantha Jones returning for And Just Like That season 2?
Well, sort of. According to Variety, Kim Cattrall will appear – but only for one scene. The report cited sources who say “Cattrall shot her dialogue on March 22 in New York City, without seeing or speaking with the stars of the series, including Sarah Jessica Parker, or with And Just Like That showrunner Michael Patrick King”. (Cattrall’s “feud” with Parker has been widely reported.) The scene is said to consist of a transatlantic phone call between Carrie in New York, and Samantha, who has moved to London in the show. Even more good news? Patricia Field, the beloved costume designer who worked on Sex and the City but so far hasn’t been involved in And Just Like That, apparently dressed Samantha for the occasion. Expect a bit of a wait for the big moment, though: while the show premieres on 22 June, Cattrall’s scene won’t air until August.
And what about Aidan Shaw? Will he actually appear in And Just Like That this time around?
Indeed he will. In fact, all signs point to Aidan being Carrie’s primary love interest this season. HBO first revealed that the pair would be reunited back in January, with subsequent teasers making it clear that their relationship was more serious than the “exit-out-of-grief” sex the erstwhile New York Star columnist was having with her podcast producer.
What will the plot of And Just Like That season 2 consist of?
Beyond Carrie and Aidan getting back together, the second instalment of And Just Like That will see Charlotte once again reckoning with parenting teenagers (including the newly sexually curious Lily) and broaching the possibility of returning to the work force (having left it decades ago to becomes Mrs Trey MacDougal). Miranda, on the other hand, is jetting back and forth to LA to be with Che, but, if the trailer is anything to go by, not everything is going entirely smoothly for the couple in California.
When will And Just Like That season 2 be released?
Max will release the first episode of And Just Like That on 22 June, with new instalments dropping every Thursday after that.
