A Westcliffe woman died Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

In a press release Sunday evening, the CSP reported Adelaide Everhart, 64, of Westcliffe was traveling at about 11 a.m. in 2013 Ford Escape northbound on a private road on the property of 4365 Colo. 165.

The Ford reportedly went off the right side of the road and collided with a rock and a tree.

According to the release, Everhart was unrestrained at the time of the crash. She was pronounced dead on the scene by the Custer County Coroner.

The crash is still under investigation, but CSP stated that alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor in the crash.
