MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile County jury found a local man guilty of production and possession of obscene material of a child last week, according to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office.

Ronald Lee Everitte, of Irvington, was found guilty of two counts of production of obscene material of a child less than or equal to 17 years of age and one count of possession of obscene material of a child less than or equal to 17 years of age.

Everitte reportedly faces a minimum sentence of 40 years in the Department of Corrections. A Mobile County Circuit Court Judge will sentence Everitte on March 25 at 9 a.m.

The jury reportedly took one hour to return a guilty verdict on all three charges.

“As always, we are thankful for the service of our jury members,” Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood said. “They certainly got it right on this one and our community, especially our children, are safer because of it.”

Bayou La Batre police officers reportedly executed a search warrant on Everitte’s residence and seized his cell phone. Forensic analysts with the Department of Homeland Security said they found several photographs of underage children upon investigation of his phone.
