AUSTIN (KXAN) — A warming trend will get underway today and continue until our next cold front arrives early next week.
Sunshine, dry skies and low humidity will make today a fantastic day to get outdoors. Despite the chilly start, afternoon highs will warm to seasonable levels in the upper 70s.
Southerly winds will increase both temperatures and humidity Friday into the weekend. No rain is anticipated between today and Sunday.
Easter sunrise is at 7:20 a.m. at which time the sky will be mostly cloudy to overcast. Fog could be an issue so we’ll be watching for that. Temperatures for sunrise services will be in the low 60s. Sunday afternoon will be just fine for Easter egg hunts with 80s, mainly cloudy skies, dry conditions and muggy conditions.
Much of Monday will be dry. A few showers are expected to develop Monday night into Tuesday along our next cold front with cooler, drier air to follow.
