Environment Canada says the snowfall warning has ended for Metro Vancouver, but remains for the Fraser Valley.
Tuesday afternoon, areas saw accumulating snowfall in Surrey, Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Burnaby, New Westminster and North Vancouver.
Global News meteorologist Kristi Gordon says much of Metro Vancouver saw a mix of rain and snow earlier in the day.
“Temperatures were a couple of degrees above freezing so nothing accumulated on the ground,” Gordon said.
“But then between 3 and 4 p.m. temperatures dropped and big wet flakes began to fall. By 5 p.m. a number of regions began to see snow accumulate on streets and sidewalks.”

Transit
TransLink says SkyTrain is running a regular service on all routes at this time.
The Canada Line is also running regular service.
Buses are operating normally but they are monitoring conditions and working with municipalities to keep streets clear.
The SeaBus and West Coast Express are also running regular service.
HandyDART is also running regular service at this time.
