Teen Skateboarder Dies After Getting Hit By Car Last Month: PD
A teenager who was hit by a car while skateboarding in Montgomery County last month has died, according to police.
ROCKVILLE, MD — A 15-year-old boy who was hit by a car while skateboarding in Rockville last month has died, according to Montgomery County police.
The teenager — identified as Alberto Barreto, of Rockville — died of his injuries at a hospital on Friday, authorities said.
The collision happened at the intersection of Montrose Road and Evelyn Drive around 10:10 p.m. on Nov. 27.

A preliminary investigation by detectives determined that a 2012 Toyota Prius — driven by a 47-year-old Virginia resident — was traveling west on Montrose Road when it collided with the 15-year-old skateboarder.
Barreto was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and died two weeks later.
