Blood Supply Low In Coronavirus, Donation Drives In Livingston

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The following news release comes courtesy of Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Learn more about posting announcements or events to your local Patch site.

As an unintended consequence of the coronavirus public health crisis, blood and platelet supplies have dropped to dangerously low levels. In response Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Township of Livingston have teamed up to hold two blood and platelet drives.

Please help us keep our communities blood supply strong during these very difficult times. Social distancing and additional disinfecting guidelines are in place at all blood drives. Your health and safety is our top priority.

The drives will be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm and Tuesday, April 7, 2020 from noon to 6:00 pm at Livingston Community Center, Lower Level - Main Entrance, 204 Hillside Avenue, Livingston, NJ 07039.

Appointments are required and can be made at www.rwjuhdonorclub.org or by calling 732-235-8100, ext. 221 or 248. Please bring a photo ID and be sure to eat and drink prior to donating.
