After having just purchased ($200) an HP 9015 printer, I learned that unless I buy their ink cartridges, they will “brick” my printer unless they have their chip, and it will not operate. When I run out of the original ink, I will use it as a boat anchor and buy someone else’s who does not practice restraint of trade. Better to trash this new one than to be held hostage to overpriced ink for as long as it lasts.

I also had Spectrum freeze up at the beginning of the game. I immediately switched over to WKMG off my antenna. WKMG broadcasts in 4k. No video compression ,true sound. I had a great picture and sound. Did not have to worry about cable or internet. It pays to have an antenna on hand.

I am ticked off that Publix is so expensive. Their prices don’t even come close to Aldi‘s. If Aldi’s had a bigger selection, I would never have to go to Publix again. Also, I am ticked off at myself for not starting to shop at Aldi’s sooner. I gave Publix way too much business.

I had my oil changed at a large U.S. wide store. I ordered their best, full synthetic. When I left I looked up on my windshield, Val Full Syn 5W-20 Next Service Suggested 3 months or 3,000 miles. Huh? I don’t think your cheapest oil is that often. If you have a newer car it tells you when to change your oil, do not believe the oil change people, for obvious reasons.

I’m really ticked off. I asked the company workers if my outdoor fans needed to be covered before they began the messy, wet job of bleaching the mildew off my patio ceiling. They told me, “no, they’ll be fine.” Months later the fan motor cases are peeling and rusting and one fan doesn’t work. It’s too late now to challenge your work and the work ethic of your people. To add insult to injury – the mildew has returned!

The flip side

Thank you to my good friend SC for reminding me to embrace birthdays no matter how old we get, and to remember our friends, family and loved ones who didn’t make it this far.
