The BIG3 basketball tour will make an early-summer stop in Philadelphia this year, coming to Temple’s Liacouras Center on June 30. It will be the barnstorming 3-on-3 tournament’s first stop here since 2017, when it was played at the Wells Fargo Center.

Now in its third season, the BIG3 circuit will once again bring a mix of familiar names to the court. Founded by rapper Ice Cube, headline players include Greg Oden, Gilbert Arenas and Lamar Odom. And there will be star power on the sidelines, with celebrity coaches such as Lisa Leslie, Rick Mahorn and Nate “Tiny” Archibald.

This year’s schedule has 14 stops, starting June 22 in Detroit and ending with the championship game Sept. 1 in Los Angeles. There are two other venues in the Northeast: the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I. (July 13) and the Barclays Center in Brooklyn (July 14).

Last month, the BIG3 signed a new TV deal with CBS that will put live games on the main broadcast channel and CBS Sports Network all season. Though the schedule hasn’t been fully announced, it is known that the opening day and championship will air on the big channel.

Tickets for the Philadelphia event are on sale at BIG3.com/tickets.
