A scrambler who was stuck Saturday night on the Fifth Flatiron in Boulder has been rescued.

About 5:19 p.m. Saturday, Boulder County Sheriff’s Office received information about a climber who had become stuck towards the top of the Fifth Flatiron. The climber, who was identified as a 57-year-old Boulder man, was scrambling with a female climbing partner before he became stuck in some rock formations.

Rocky Mountain Rescue Group arrived on scene and found the woman before hiking up the rock formation to find the man. They reached him at about 8:46 p.m. and lowered him to the ground by about 9:14 p.m.

Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks also assisted with the six-hour rescue.
