Assistance for Vulnerable Alameda County Homeowners

During this time of uncertainty, Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley wants vulnerable Alameda County homeowners to know they can count on Renew Alameda County (Renew AC) to have their home improvement needs met. Designed for homeowners on a budget, structural rehabilitation, health and safety, and accessibility needs are the most common improvements needed, and Renew covers them all! The program, launched just last year, provides 1% interest loans from $15,000 to $150,000 to qualified low-income homeowners. Simple interest is accrued annually, with total interest never to exceed 50% of amount borrowed, and no payments are due while the homeowner owns and resides in the home. The program, funded by Alameda County’s Measure A1, is operated by Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley.
