Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll be well acquainted with make up artist and Mother of high-fashion beauty, Pat McGrath's Labs. Highly coveted, it caused a ruckus in the beauty hemisphere, and has a cult following of devotees, all waiting for Pat's next move. We've been lucky enough to try out the goods, and we can confirm they're GREAT - but, as esteemed as the range is, it's missing a vital section: complexion products.

Ever wondered how Pat McGrath gives models that incredible lit-from-within-glow? The type that looks au naturel, but you just know took a bottle of base and some clever handy work to create? Well, we've got good news, Pat is finally entering the complexion clan, with her first ever foundation offering: Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection. Yep, we've finally got a shot at getting that dreamy, dewy face, we so crave.

A cool 25 years in the making (NBD), the self proclaimed "secret to runway radiance" is comprised of three base builders: a primer, foundation and loose setting powder. Why did it take so long? Apparently, it's all down to the high-tech, hard working skincare ingredients, infused in the foundation's formula: Diamond Core Powder Technology to even out skins texture and Vita-Serum Complex to increase hydration and plump fine lines.

The collection contains 36 shades, falling into five categories: light, light medium, medium deep, and deep - something that seems relatively minimal, considering that, these days, brands are dropping 50 strong shade ranges left, right and centre. But, Pat seems positive that 36 is the amount she needs to cater to all skins.

Speaking to Bustle, she said, "As a makeup artist, we know the real amount of shades that we need when we’re doing 250 girls of all nationalities, this is the number. This is the full amount of colours I would have in my kit if I was going to cover the world." Glad we cleared that up.

So far, the new foundations have been put to the test on the runway and also on Cardi B and Kacey Musgraves, at the 2019 Met Gala. The consistency has been described as sheer, but buildable, so you can work it up to a fuller finish, if you so wish.

Foundation aside, there is a Sublime Perfection Primer, a super moisturising prep step, that creates a matte base for the foundation, and a Sublime Perfection Setting Powder - a final step, to set and complete your look.

Together Pat describes them as a "TRINITY of SUBLIME SKINNOVATORS." We're feeling it. You'll be able to get your hands on Pat's tools, too. The Sublime Perfection Foundation Brush and Powder Brush, are both vegan and cruelty free, made with synthetic brush fibres and FSC-certified wooden handles.

The entire collection launches July 26th online at patmcgrath.com. The countdown begins.
