Colin Kaepernick might pick up another huge win soon, according to his lawyer. He believes that the quarterback will sign with another NFL team within weeks.

"I predicted this with Eric [Reid]—our other client—after we had one of the hearings that Eric would play," Kaepernick's lawyer Mark Geragos said to CNN on Saturday. "I've been wrong about this before, but I'm going to make a bold prediction that one of three teams picks [Kaepernick] up."

"The natural place to be would be with Eric in Carolina," Geragos continued. "I'll make the bold prediction—you can keep the tape—I think within the next two weeks and you want me to predict who besides the Panthers? It would not surprise me if Bob Kraft makes a move. That would not surprise me."

Carolina is also vulnerable at the quarterback position as Cam Newton works to return from arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Eric Reid, his former 49ers teammate, has also signed a three-year deal with Carolina, so he at least seems welcomed. Geragos also predicted the Patriots as a landing spot in September, specifically calling out owner Robert Kraft as someone interested.

Colin Kaepernick has been out of the NFL since 2016, when he drew attention for kneeling during the national anthem. Afterward, Kaepernick and Reid filed a collusion lawsuit against the NFL. The legal battle came to an end on Feb. 15 when the parties settled for an undisclosed amount.
