The actress and her husband, fellow actor Jamie Bell, are expecting their first child together, she revealed Sunday evening in a post on Instagram. The mom-to-be showed off her bump in a short, long-sleeved white and silver dress as she stepped out for Elton John‘s annual AIDS Foundation Oscars Party. Mara and Bell smiled as they posed for photos ahead of the event in West Hollywood, California. “Went on a date with our bun in the oven,” Mara captioned her photo. The baby on the way will be the first for the House of Cards alum, 35, while Bell shares a 5½-year-old son with ex-wife Evan Rachel Wood. Mara first sparked pregnancy rumors at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards, where she rocked a billowing gown featuring a bodice with a cut-out center. Rich Fury/Getty Kate Mara and Jamie Bell Show Off Their New Wedding Rings on Instagram Mara and Bell have been dating since fall 2015, and PEOPLE confirmed their engagement in January 2017. The former Fantastic Four costars announced the following July on social media that they had tied the knot. Mara posted a photo of herself and Bell, 32, kissing on what looks like the dance floor at their wedding on Instagram. She captioned the photo, “Nuptials.” Bell shared the same photo with the caption, “Mr. and Mrs. B.” Speaking to James Corden in January 2018, Bell said, “We actually got married right across the street from our house. I literally woke up in my own bed and walked across the street, and we had our ceremony.” Kate Mara. Mara said that having Bell as “legally part of my family” is “such an incredible thing,” explaining, “I’m very protective of our marriage” before revealing how the couple makes it work between their busy schedules. “All the traveling we both have to do for work can make it hard, but we have a rule that we will never go longer than two weeks without seeing each other,” said the actress. “Even if we have to spend all day traveling to have just 24 hours together, it’s worth it in order to have a strong relationship.”
