“Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home in our favourite spot—the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship—we got married,” enthused an ecstatic Bhatt as she made the news of their wedding Insta-official. The balcony in question is a breezy space lined with greens that offers up an unhindered view of the urbanscape. It comes as little surprise that the couple is partial to this cosy nook and chose to revisit this place for the baby shower—this time with marigold and icy white florals. 

Ranbir and Alia’s living room is punctuated with an unexpected pop of colour

An arched doorway serves as the architectural introduction to the actors’ living space and continues on as a recurring design feature offering a European touch to the interiors. However, in a spate of rebellion, the understated colour palette is boldly defied by a mustard-hued couch that commands all eyes in the room. Bathed in natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows, the open design of the space means that it can easily transition into the backdrop for larger events, as proved by the wedding and baby shower that were hosted there this year.

Ranbir and Alia’s dining area is personalised with sentimental mementoes

In a bid to give the minimalist interiors some undertones of warmth, the dining area offers a more lived-in feel. The colour palette warms up to earthy woodens with chevron flooring and a full-sized bookshelf that is dotted with personal mementoes from the couple’s precious memories, from the ornate frame of their wedding portrait to a vintage vinyl recorder for a touch of whimsy.
