Senator Mitt Romney was the first major Republican elected officials to criticize President Donald Trump‘s decision to commute the prison sentence of Roger Stone, joined later by Pat Toomey.

Trump slammed the pair as “RINOs,” while Stone said on Sunday that Romney “knows nothing” about his case and was jealous because Trump became president and he -- the 2012 Republican presidential nominee -- didn’t.
