BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Turn up the volume and close your eyes, and the voice speaking to you sounds just like President Donald Trump, they say.

The internet is buzzing over New Jersey comedian J-L Cauvin’s impression of the president, which lampoons Trump’s recent comment that he would love to see the United States "open and raring to go by Easter" as it deals with the coronavirus crisis. (Watch the video below)

Donning Trump’s trademark “Make America Great Again” cap, the Bloomfield resident – a former lawyer – does a two-minute rendition of the president that has caught the attention of hundreds of thousands of people looking for a distraction in a dark time.

Cauvin’s original Twitter post has racked up more than 3.5 million views since he posted it Tuesday. The caption reads: “God only brought one guy back from the dead on Easter. Trump is here to bring back the whole economy.”

According to his website, Cauvin started doing standup comedy while attending Georgetown University Law Center. He later took a job as an assistant district attorney in the Bronx before eventually turning his comedy career into a full-time gig.

Cauvin recent brush with fame isn’t his first time at the rodeo. He’s been featured on "The Late Late Show," "NESN Comedy All Stars," "Comics Unleashed," ESPN’s "The Dan Lebatard Show" and is a regular on "The Adam Carolla Show." The comedian has also poked fun at Trump before, releasing 2017’s "Fireside Craps," an album-length impression of the president.

Coincidentally, Trump declared New Jersey a major disaster area on Thursday, freeing up federal funding to help the state recover from COVID-19.
