Stormy Daniels will appear on 60 Minutes later this month to potentially break Trump's NDA

Ever since The Wall Street Journal reported that Donald Trump (or at least an attorney working for him) had paid $130,000 to adult film star Stormy Daniels as “hush money” so she’d keep quiet about an affair they had shortly after Melania Trump had given birth, the world has been nervously curious to hear what Daniels—whose real name is Stephanie Clifford—has to say about what happened between her and Trump. Like, very few people want to personally hear about their relationship, but lots of people seem to think that someone should hear about it. A non-disclosure agreement prevented Daniels from saying much to Jimmy Kimmel, but she has since decided that her NDA should be voided because Trump never actually signed it, so now she’s ready to talk to whoever will listen.

As it turns out, 60 Minutes was ready to listen, and Daniels has already taped an interview with Anderson Cooper for the long-running CBS news show. Variety says the episode will air on March 25, but it doesn’t sound like anyone is spoiling any details about what topics come up in the chat. There were rumors that Trump’s lawyers might try to stop the episode from airing, but CBS News head David Rhodes has said that he hasn’t “seen such an injunction” and that he “can’t imagine what the basis for that would be.” He says there were “conversations with attorneys” and “documents were provided,” so the network is presumably going to make sure everything is on the up and up before airing the segment.

It would seem somewhat out of character for Trump to let something like this air without having anything to say about it, so it’s possible that he suspects Daniels doesn’t have anything particularly enlightening to say to Anderson Cooper. Or maybe he’s just been too busy trying to discredit the FBI to deal with this other thing? Either way, 60 Minutes will have an interview on March 25 with a woman who says she had sex with Donald Trump while he was married.
