A day after Chuck Person was arrested as part of an FBI investigation, the Auburn associate head coach's wife, Carmen Person, filed for divorce in Lee County, according to court records.

Carmen Person previously filed for divorce on July 27 but the case was dismissed without prejudice on Aug. 2. An initial hearing for the divorce case is set for Friday at 9 a.m. in front of Lee County Family Judge Mike Fellows.

The divorce filing was first reported by 247Sports.

Carmen Person's filing came in the wake of Chuck Person's arrest last Tuesday morning, when he was one of 10 arrested by the FBI in a widespread and ongoing probe into the corruption of college basketball. Person was charged with six federal crimes, including bribery and conspiracy.

Chuck Person is alleged to have accepted $91,500 in bribes over a 10-month span in an attempt to steer two unnamed Auburn players toward a crooked financial adviser upon their entry into the NBA. If convicted of all six charges, Person faces a statutory maximum of 80 years in prison.

Chuck Person appeared in court in Montgomery last Tuesday and was subsequently released from federal custody. He was ordered to appear in court in the Southern District of New York on Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. ET.

Upon his arrest, Chuck Person was suspended indefinitely and without pay by Auburn.
