"We don't want them to do this," Arapahoe County authorities said. "However, this call from a little boy named Isaiah sure made our day."

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, CO β€” A Colorado youngster caused the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office to erupt in laughter after he phoned 911 for a friendly chat and pretended to be his dad. The office has posted the phone call as a friendly reminder about teaching kids 911 etiquette.

A little boy named Isaiah called the 911 dispatcher and she asked him for the address of his emergency.

Isaiah agreed to let her talk to his dad, and paused for a moment before lowering his voice and saying, "Hello. This is Isaiah's dad."

"Isaiah I know it's still you!" the dispatcher replied.

In a social media post, the sheriff's office said the call serves as a good reminder for parents to teach their children about how and when to call 911.

"We don't want them to do this," the sheriff's office wrote in the post. "However, this call from a little boy named Isaiah sure made our day."
