Downtown Bay City adding 7-foot-tall fireplaces

BAY CITY, MI - Bay City’s downtown is getting three new additions that’ll keep visitors toasty warm.

Multiple 7-foot-tall fireplaces will soon dot downtown Bay City. The fireplaces will operate using gas that will be piped in from underground through a dedicated gas line. Each fireplace will also have screens for safety and to prevent people from throwing things in them. The fireplaces will run on a timer and they will be equipped with an automatic shutoff.
