NJ students accused of causing $6K in damages to Christmas display

What a pair of Grinches!

Two Rowan University students were arrested after allegedly causing nearly $6,000 in damages to the local Christmas display, police said Monday.

One of the New Jersey teens — William Fowler, 19, of Demarest — allegedly scaled the Christmas tree in downtown Glassboro just after 2 a.m. Friday to try to remove the star, according to cops.

Fowler damaged the tree’s lights and branches when he jumped down after spotting police — before taking off, cops said.

The other college student — Matthew Lubicky, of Delran, also 19 — is accused of knocking over and damaging a large Santa hat in the town square.

Cops tracked down the two after a witness shared video of the incident.

Both were charged with criminal mischief, obstruction and disorderly conduct, according to police.

Fowler was also charged with resisting arrest, cops said.
