Behold the donug, the unholy-and-probably-delicious chicken nugget doughnut

The reign of the cronut as most curious food mashup may be over: There’s a new contender for strangest-yet-probably-delicious. Crag Carrick, a Scotsman entrepreneur in Australia, has decided to form a large chicken nugget in the shape of a doughnut. Behold the donug, which is fun to say in your creepiest baritone:

The Mirror describes, “The circular treat sees chicken shaped into a classic doughnut ring, before being covered in a cornflake and panko crumb and deep fried.” Then lucky donug fans can add their choice of three sauces: cheesy Dijon bechamel, hot chili, or golden Japanese curry with mozzarella.

Carrick came up with the idea on the Australian version of Shark Tank, where it has inspired online fascination ever since. His goal is to make it available worldwide, although so far only Aussies get to partake in the donug. Takeout editor Kevin Pang points out, however, that White Castle already has a circular processed chicken product on the market: the chicken ring. It just doesn’t sound as sexy and alluring as donug. Donuuuuuugggg.
