NEW JERSEY - Several New Jersey counties are under a flooding advisory Monday, kicking off a rainy autumn week in the Garden State.

Monday’s showers are slated to linger throughout the day, the National Weather Service said, with periods of showers and light drizzle to last until Thursday. Temperatures are set to rise into the high 60s with some humidity, forecaster said, with morning lows upwards of 10 to 15 degrees above normal.

As of Monday morning, a flood advisory is in effect until 8:30 a.m. for Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Passaic counties. Up to an inch of rainfall in some areas has prompted minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas, the National Weather Service said.
