JULY 17: Young Ulster Professional (YUP) meet-up, guided kayaking on Hudson River, 6-8 p.m., starting at Kingston Point Beach, 102-104 Delaware Ave., Kingston. No charge to attend, but reservations required at (845) 338-5100 or bit.ly/2Klb1rS. When registering, please state whether you will be bringing your own equipment. The Kingston Parks and Recreation Department will provide kayaks at no charge to the first 20 who register and say that they need them.

JULY 19: Summer Showcase – celebrating local food, entertainment, recreation, health, business and more – 3-6 p.m., Hudson Valley Mall, 1300 Ulster Ave., town of Ulster. Members of the community will be able to vote online for their favorite businesses.

JULY 19: Ribbon cutting, 5 p.m., Facets of Earth, 22 Broadway, Kingston.

JULY 21: Hannaford supermarket grand reopening, starting at 7 a.m., 35 Hannaford Drive (off U.S. Route 9), Red Hook. First 200 customers will receive gift cards randomly valued between $5 and $250. Also, product sampling, sweepstakes and other activities.

JULY 23: Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce mixer, 5 to 7 p.m., aboard the Rip Van Winkle, starting from 1 East Strand, Kingston. Open to chamber members only. Admission is free, but reservations required at (845) 338-5100 or bit.ly/2IQ4O9E.

JULY 27: Rhinebeck Chamber of Commerce “Casino Night on the Hudson,” 7-11 p.m., Rhinecliff Hotel, 4 Grinnell St., Rhinecliff. Featuring poker, roulette, craps and blackjack tables. Tickets: $77 through July; $99 after that and at the door. Tickets include $500 in game chips, appetizers, beer, wine and a signature cocktail.
