A Chick-fil-A in Toledo, Ohio is being sued by a local business owner over the fast-food chain’s long drive-thru line.

WTOL 11 reports that Mario Kiezi has become fed up with the nearby Chick-fil-A’s multiple customers taking up so much space.

Kiezi claims that the lines prevent traffic from coming into the shopping plaza behind it. As one of the people who owns a business in said shopping plaza, Kiezi alleges this blockage bars potential customers from dropping in.

Other business owners seem more at peace with the long line. A.J. Faulkner, whose Bulk Beverage company is also located within the shopping plaza, says he loves having the Chick-fil-A as a neighbor.

“It brings extra traffic to our business,” Faulkner told WTOL 11. “But on a daily basis they do get very busy during the lunch rush and at nighttime as well as during dinnertime as one of our neighbors.”

Fox News additionally reports that Chick-fil-A has already strategized a solution. The popular fast-food brand intends to mitigate the issue of long drive-thru lines by expanding its online ordering capabilities. The more customers order ahead of time, the less time waited on that drive-thru line.

Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time in 2020 that the efficiency (or lack thereof) of Chick-fil-A’s drive-thru process has been discussed.

A study published back in October states that Chick-fil-A drive-thru wait times were the slowest on average across the United States. According to the study, Chick-fil-A’s the time spent anticipating Chick-fil-A orders has been on the rise since 2016, hitting over eight minutes in 2020.

For those sandwiches, though, that wait is sure worth it.
