Alabama Averaging Fewer Than 900 New Coronavirus Cases Per Day

For more than a week, the Alabama has averaged fewer than 900 new cases of COVID-19 per day.

MONTGOMERY, AL β€” Alabama is averaging fewer than 900 new COVID-19 per day over the last week, according to the latest report from the Alabama Department of Public Health. The seven-day average for Alabama is at 880 new cases per day.

The Alabama Department of Public Health has confirmed 6,160 total COVID-19 cases over the last week, the state's lowest seven-day total since June.

More than a million COVID-19 tests have been administered in Alabama since the pandemic began in March, with 129,974 of those tests coming back positive. Of those, 61,232 patients are presumed to have recovered from the virus.
