STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Emergency officials are responding to a report of a pedestrian struck on Hylan Boulevard in New Dorp Monday morning.

One person was taken to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze in the incident, which occurred at Hylan and Reno Avenue, according to an FDNY spokesman.

The spokesman was unable to immediately provide a condition for the patient, but unconfirmed emergency radio transmissions indicate the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

There is no crosswalk at that location.

The incident was reported about 8:30 a.m. in the north-bound lanes of Hylan.

An out-of-commission SIM7 MTA bus was parked at the location and NYPD and MTA officials were investigating the incident.
