Cedar Lake Cellars to Hold Pyromania Viewing Party

Fireworks fans now have another chance to feel the boom at the 14th annual Pyromania on Sat., Sept. 21.

Due to the show selling out in just a few months, Cedar Lake Cellars will host a Pyromania Viewing Party for those 21 years of age and older at the winery located at 11008 Schreckengast Rd. in Wright City, Mo. The winery opens at 10 a.m., and the fireworks show begins at 7:30 p.m.

The party will have a limited view of the fireworks show and, while large airborne displays will be easily seen, pyrotechnics low to the ground will not be visible. The winery will host a variety of entertainment including Vote for Pedro from 1 to 4 p.m. and Trilogy from 4 to 7 p.m.

Tickets range from $20 to $30 per person and include all-day winery festivities but do not include admission to the Pyromania event field or food trucks. The winery will be closed to the general public on the day of the event.

The 14th annual Pyromania is one of the only pyrotechnic competitions in the U.S. The nation’s top fireworks choreographers gather at Pyromania to showcase their pyromusicals or “concerts in the sky”, which are artistic combinations of music and pyrotechnics. Known as the largest show in the region, Pyromania creates a series of approximately 10 displays that has everything from large shell (up to 12” in diameter) demonstrations to gasoline fireballs. The event is a Missouri Pyrotechnic Association production.
