Doctors have given my wife 'months' to live - now she's asked if she can sleep with an ex 'one more time'

  • She wants to sleep with an ex

A man has admitted to feeling angry and ashamed after his dying wife asked for a hall pass to sleep with an attractive ex 'just one more time'.

The man said the request made him feel betrayed and inadequate. But he also felt like he owed it to his wife to put her bucket-list wish before his ego.

'She sat me down and told me that one of the last things she wanted to do was have sex with a previous partner of hers. I of course was shocked and when I asked why,' he wrote on Reddit.

'Basically she thinks that her most physically compatible satisfying lover was him.'

He said that there was a 'whole monologue' but that was the main point.

'So now I’m left with this, deny my dying wife a wish for my own ego, or let her go f*ck another man who she feels was better,' he said.

'Honestly I’m so p**sed of and betrayed that she asked this of me. I feel like I’m put in a position where I have to say yes because she’s dying.'

He explained he and his wife had been happily married for a decade and that her diagnosis left him feeling distraught.

He added that the condition meant she would decline rapidly and likely need to use a wheelchair within a few months.

'I know what I want to say, but I don’t know if that’s right. I’m so hurt that sex with an ex was apparently so good that she needs to do it once before she dies. I just hate everything about this.'

People were quick to side with the heartbroken man.

'Sorry but her illness is not an excuse to treat you like shit. That is incredibly insulting to you and your relationship,' one man said.

'If this is a real story, well then, just pack her stuff and let her live with her ex for the rest of her time,' said another.

'I wouldn't even go to the funeral if my wife asked me that,' added a third.

Others suggested she could have already gotten in touch with her ex.

'This seems like a very odd request to bring to you without any leg work or preparation. That she would significantly risk blowing up her marriage and end of life companionship and care for sex with someone she isn’t in contact with and doesn’t know would still even entertain the thought of intimacy with her,' one wrote.

Some tried to defend the woman's behaviour.

'I wonder if she is irrationally mad OP will live and eventually have sex with other people, and that's the way to make it "fair",' one said.

'This is so crazy. All I can think of is that she's trying to push OP away now before things get too hard,' said another.

A third joked: 'Tell her to contact Make A Wish, to see if they will arrange it.'

Others said the story was 'too bad to be real' and put it down to fiction.
