There's a $75 million jackpot up for grabs with Saturday night's Powerball game. The one-time cash payout will be $49.1 million for the drawing on Saturday, July 27.

Winning Powerball numbers are drawn every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time, with Powerball results usually posted within five minutes.

The winning numbers for the July 27 Powerball drawing are as follows: 1, 19, 31, 48, 61 and Powerball of 6.

To win, a player must match all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball number. The odds of picking the correct Powerball grand prize numbers are one in 292,201,338, which stays the same regardless of how many people are playing.

You have a better chance of winning the jackpot if you let the computer pick your numbers, according to lottery officials, who say about 75 percent of winning Powerball tickets over the years had auto-generated numbers.

These are the five largest Powerball jackpots in the game's history:

Winners can choose either to have the full jackpot amount paid out in 30 installments over 29 years, or they can take one lump sum payment that is smaller than the actual total.

The largest Powerball jackpot in history was $1.586 billion, which was shared by winners in California, Florida and Tennessee in January 2016.

In most states, ticket sales stop at least one hour before the drawing, but states can end sales earlier. For example, Illinois stops selling Powerball tickets three hours before the drawing. In Maryland and New Jersey, ticket sales end at 9:59 p.m.; in Virginia, they close at 10 p.m. Check with your state lottery agency for the cut-off time.
