Dana Jacobson is on to the next interview.
The CBS reporter, who was on the receiving end of an icy staredown from Patriots coach Bill Belichick on Sunday after asking about controversial receiver Antonio Brown, appeared to address the viral moment Monday on Twitter.
“I did my job yesterday. Coach did his. End of story,” Jacobson wrote.
The veteran journalist made it clear she wants to focus on more pressing matters in her future.
“You know what I didn’t like? Rambling through the start of my Ty Law interview. Wish I could do that over,” she also tweeted. “Social media & sports radio can continue the discussion.. I’m going to go get ready for my wedding Saturday.”
Jacobson is engaged to Celtics play-by-play announcer Sean Grande, who also weighed in on the Belichick controversy.
“I guess this explains why we never got his R.S.V.P.,” Grande tweeted Sunday.
Belichick’s behavior ignited a firestorm of criticism from fellow sports media personalities, including Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks.
“The stare is wholly unprofessional. Not responding to ‘thank you’ is wholly unprofessional. If he doesn’t want to answer the question, that’s his prerogative. But it’s ridiculous to think you’re above being asked the question. It’s been one of the biggest stories. Dana HAS to ask,” Rooks posted.
Brown was released from the Patriots on Friday, 11 days after signing with the team. He has been accused of sexual misconduct by two women.
