CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Moderna says early data suggests its COVID-19 vaccine is effective, putting a second shot closer to seeking US approval.

Moderna is the second pharmaceutical company to announce successful trials. Earlier this month, Pfizer announced its vaccine was 90 percent effective among trial subjects.
