A new app will tell users whether or not their local McDonalds’ ice cream machine is currently working.

11Alive reports that a new app named Ice Check will keep users updated on the operational status of their local McDonald’s ice cream machine. The app, which is available for iPhone on the Apple app store, provides users with a map detailing the location and ice cream machine status at McDonald’s stores in their area.

The app store description for Ice Check reads:

Finally, a way to find WORKING McDonald’s ice cream machines — right from your phone! Ice Check will tell you if the machines are UP or DOWN in real-time, using crowd-sourced info and input from participating locations. As seen on NBC, Playboy, FoodBeast, Cooking Panda, and DC Inno! No login required. Just let the GPS locator lead you to the nearest cone, sundae, milkshake, or McFlurry! Also: bookmark your faves, share your find on social media, and “flip the switch” to update the app for fellow Ice Checkers.”

Ice Check is the app for McDonald’s ice cream lovers who are sick and tired of hearing the “machine is down!” Our real-time updates will save you time and energy, leading you to ice cream machines that actually work BEFORE you get on line to order.

Thanks to Ice Check you can KNOW B4 U GO!

The app includes a number of features, such as:

  • Real-time updates from McDonald’s locations across the world
  • Update the status of ice cream machines near you
  • Unlock money-saving deals from participating locations!
  • Bookmark your favorite locations
  • Turn-by-turn directions to each location
  • Easily share your results with friends

No longer will frequent McDonald’s visitors have to worry that they will be denied their frozen desserts.
