Trippie Redd stopped by Power 106 Los Angeles for an interview aired yesterday (Aug. 27) and spoke his mind about rappers who he feels don't do enough to help their cities—namely, Kanye West.

Trippie, a fellow Midwestern native, told hosts that during a concert in Chicago he told the crowd that as people, we need to be better. "I told them, 'Look at the person next to you and tell them you love them.' Just 'cause we in this together." He went on to highlight the some of the issues Chicago experiences and Kanye's name gets brought into the mix.

"There's only one hospital in Chicago that got a place you can go after you get shot, so if you get shot 40 minutes away from the hospital you gotta go 40 minutes," the 2018 XXL Freshman says. "That's sad. And they got so many artists that done made it out of there, like, not even trying to diss Kanye 'cause I love Kanye, but I mean Kanye, like, that's where he from. Go show Chi-town some love, go give 'em $30 million to build a new hospital."

Kanye, who has been steadily tweeting about his creative inspirations, doesn't appear to have caught wind of Trippie's words yet—or at least hasn't issued any response. Trippie isn't the only rapper to send some perceived shots at the Ye recently—Drake appeared to shade the rapper during a recent performance when he changed the lyrics to his song "Know Yourself" from "Then Kanye dropped, it was polos and snapbacks" to "Then Kanye flopped, it was polos and snapbacks."
