Johnny Depp tells fans he hopes for ‘better times’ in 2021

Johnny Depp is getting deep after a “radioactive” 2020.

Wishing for a “better time ahead” after a “hard” year of losses, the “Edward Scissorhands” star stretched his pointers across his keyboard, posting a heartfelt holiday holler to his unswerving social media fans over the weekend.

“This year has been so hard for so many,” Depp, 57, wrote for his 9 million Instagram followers beneath a black-and-white image of him with the Pogues lead singer Shane MacGowan. “Here’s to a better time ahead.”

Depp’s uncharacteristic Insta address comes just a few weeks after the problematic “Pirates of the Caribbean” captain lost his high-profile libel case against British publication the Sun over an article referring to him as a “wife beater.”

In November, a British judge ruled that the cheeky moniker, spurred by domestic violence allegations amid his divorce from ex-wife Amber Heard, 34, was not libelous and was proven to be “substantially true.”

Lawyers for Depp maintain that claims he regularly subjected Heard to abuse throughout their brief marriage are “plainly wrong,” insisting to the Court of Appeals that the actor “did not receive a fair trial.

Sweet well-wishes from the “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” frontman also trail his forced resignation from his starring role as Grindelwald in Warner Bros. studio’s popular “Fantastic Beasts” film series.

It appears that Depp, like so many other celebrities whose 2020 has been a toilet paper-less waste pile, now has his fingers firmly crossed for a brighter 2021.

“Happy holidays, everyone!,” he exclaimed to the tune of nearly 2 million likes from his 9 million Insta followers. “My love and respect to you all. Eternally, JD.”
