Why are you seeking elective office?

I want Nashua and the state of New Hampshire to be a safe and welcoming place to raise my family. I run a business here and my husband commutes from here, and now that I have a son, I want to invest more of my time into my community to continue and make progress.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

The downgrade of the NH Advantage. As homeowners, we really hold the burden of the tax base and it's overwhelming. We rely a fair bit on Boston and Burlington for tech jobs, and traffic is getting worse and a green option is becoming more and more important. We also have rising energy costs, which is putting off employers. We are losing young families and businesses due to the fact that we aren't keeping up with the NH Advantage. I propose that we get an affordable and timely rail option to Nashua and that we look at other options for taxes and energy costs, along with upgrading broadband in our more rural areas to bring businesses and people to our state.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I truly care about Nashua. I'm a 2nd generation Nashuan, and I just had my son. I've always been committed to making Nashua a place I would want to stay and have a family in, and I continue to want that. I want to make sure my son has the best opportunities, so I'm always going to be invested in making Nashua the best it can be.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform

I want to make healthcare more accessible and affordable, along with childcare. I want to improve our schools and make them safer for our students.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have done this job twice already, and I truly love it. My degree is in political science and I just love being part of the process. I love going up to Concord and feel like I did my best to make the world a better place today.

The best advice ever shared with me was …

Always stand up for something. It's important to stay positive.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

There's Nutting-Wong with voting for Allison.
