STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Over 9,000 restaurants can take advantage of an additional two months of sidewalk and street supping. Mayor Bill de Blasio extended the “Open Restaurants” program through Oct. 31 and added 26 locations to the weekend expansion of the “Open Streets” initiative for outdoor dining in the COVID-19 pandemic.
