Spartans Prepare For Clash Of 6A, 7A No. 1 Teams
Mountain Brook, ranked no. 1 in the latest 6A poll, takes on 7A no. 1 Thompson Friday.
MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Mountain Brook finds itself again ranked no. 1 in the Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 6A poll this week, and will take that top ranking into a clash with Class 7A's to-ranked team when the Spartans travel to Thompson Friday.
This will not be the first time this season that Thompson has faced the top-ranked Class 6A team, as the Warriors defeated then-no. 1 Oxford earlier this season 56-28.
Mountain Brook beat Shades Valley Friday to retain its no. 1 ranking.
