For the longest time, the US have taken the crown when it comes to exclusive, oh-so cool and incredibly-hard-to-get-hold-of beauty brands. Yesss, we did a little catching up in 2017, when the likes of Glossier, Buxom and It Cosmetics hit our shores 🙌 But our pals across the pond have Sephora, and with it, a monopoly of niche skincare, makeup and haircare brands. Thankfully, it seems 2018 has kicked off something of a 'beauty migration', with some of the world's most current brands setting their sights on the UK. Yep, lucky for us, internet-loved brands like Drunk Elephant, CeraVe and IGK Hair are all hitting the UK in a matter of months. Here's everything you need to know...

1

IGK Hair

The brainchild of four cooler-than-cool session stylists, US-brand, IGK hair, has fiiinally made it's way across the pond and is now available at Space NK stores nationwide and online.

IGK products have been on sale at Sephora in the US for two years, and since launching, their reputation has travelled across the globe. Beauty bloggers like The Anna Edit, Kathleen Lights and Melissa Alatorre have all been singing their praises.

Hero product: If you're new to the brand and don't know where to start, I'd recommend picking up the IGK Beach Club Texture Spray. It gives hair bags of oomph, with feeling sticky or heavy.

CeraVe

Drugstore skincare brand, CeraVe, has gained a HUGE following in the US thanks to it's stripped-back approach to skincare. Developed by dermatologists, the products are all fragrance-free, paraben-free, allergy-tested and non-comedogenic.

If you're a Reddit fan, chances are, you'll have seen the brand being raved about on one of the many skincare forums. The wallet-friendly formulas are also a hit on Amazon, with products like the classic Moisturising Cream, racking up thousands (and thousands) of 5-star reviews.

Lucky for us Brits, the brand have finally decided to venture across the Atlantic and will be available in Boots stores from 5th March. Until then, you can get hold of the best-selling products on Amazon.

Hero product: The Moisturising Cream has a ceramide-enriched formula that continues to hydrate skin over an extended period of time. It's also got 3,496 5-star reviews on Amazon.com - not bad, huh?

Drunk Elephant

In case you missed our sliiight freak out earlier this month, it's now been confirmed that Drunk Elephant will be launching in the UK.

Skincare guru, Caroline Hirons, initially broke the news on her blog - revealing that the cult US skincare brand, Drunk Elephant, would be launching into Space NK, in Summer 2018.

With Sephora's top-rated skincare page reading like a who's who of the entire Drunk Elephant line up, it's no surprise that we're hyped to hear of it's UK debut.

Hero product: The T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial has become something of a icon on Sephora.com. The exfoliating leave-on night mask has 25% alpha hydroxy acids and 2% beta hydroxy acids to smooth skins texture, minimise the appearance of fine lines and remove dead skin cells.

Kate Somerville

Kate Somerville skincare has been one of Sephora's biggest brands for as long as we can remember. But for years the only way to get your hands on the stuff, was to fork out for a plane ticket to the US... Thankfully (for our wallets) Cult Beauty has come to rescue.

Yep, the best-selling products from the blogger-approved skincare brand are now available at CultBeauty.co.uk.

Hero product: Pick up the ExfoliKate Introductory Kit and you can try the infamous Exfoliating Intensive Treatment - that's guaranteed to leave your face baby-smooth. Plus, the ExfoliKate moisturiser and cleanser.

C.Y.O

Budget beauty brand C.Y.O hit Boots stores earlier this year, and is already proving to be a hit. With prices starting from just £3.50, it's easy to see why the accessible makeup brand is getting hyped like crazy online.

Available across the pond in Walgreens Supermarkets, it was beauty vlogger Tati Westbrook that first put C.Y.O on our radar. After testing the brand's Matte Foundation, she gave the product a glowing review. "This so shocked and impressed me, I was blown away" she told viewers in a drugstore makeup video.

Hero product: Take Tati's word for it and be sure to give the Matte Foundation a go, for only £6 it's a total steal.

Mr Smith

Mr. Smith is a luxury Australian haircare brand founded by David Justin. If the insanely cool 'made-for-Instagram' packaging doesn't convince you to give the products a go, perhaps the brand's commitment to exceptional ingredients will. Yep, the gender-neutral products use only high-quality Australian botanicals and essential oils. They contain zero sulfates or parabens, have never been tested on animals, and are PETA-Approved.

Hero product: The brand's The Foundation is unlike anything else. A true hybrid product that lies somewhere between a nourishing leave-in conditioner, volume-boosting mousse and flexible-hold hairspray.
