Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena has been locked in to host a state memorial for Michael Gudinski.
The Victorian government on Monday confirmed the farewell for the Australian music industry titan would be held at Rod Laver Arena on March 24.
Family, friends, colleagues and industry representatives are invited to attend, while some members of the public will also be given the opportunity to go along.

'From the biggest names to up-and-coming artists, Michael's life purpose was music,' Premier Daniel Andrews said in a statement.
'This unique state memorial will celebrate that lifelong passion and honour his significant contribution to the Australian music industry and the state of Victoria.'
Gudinski died in his sleep on March 2 aged 68, stunning the entertainment industry and sparking widespread tributes.
Mr Andrews visited Gudinski's widow Sue last week and she accepted his offer of the memorial service.
