Heinz offers to help pay for ‘reformed’ ketchup thief’s car repairs

Heinz wants to catsup with this reformed thief.

The condiment company is looking for the person who swiped a bottle of ketchup from a New Jersey restaurant — and then, wracked with guilt and suffering from bad karma — returned last week to drop off two containers of the red sauce.

“We get it, Heinz makes you do crazy things,” the company wrote Wednesday in a tweet addressed to the “Reformed Ketchup Thief.”

“In honor of your good Ketchup Karma, we’d love to help you with your car damages,” Heinz continued. “DM us. We’ll keep your identity top secret.”

Workers at Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Forked River found a note from the sauce swiper last week, in which they admitted stealing a bottle of ketchup from the eatery for the thrill of it.

A few hours after the caper, the condiment klepto crashed their car “and since then, my karma, luck and life have been s–t,” they wrote.

“I hope returning two new bottles will restore some [luck] for me, and I can stop carrying around this guilt,” wrote the contrite thief.

The restaurant’s owner, Maria DiLeo, told The Post this week that she completely forgives the penitent poacher — and even offered them a job.

The thief’s note, receipt — and two bottles of ketchup — are now on display in the South Jersey eatery.
