We all have insecurities, even the celebrities we often compare ourselves to.

As one of the world's most photographed women, Kim K opened up about her biggest insecurity to Harper's Bazaar in 2016.

"My biggest insecurity is looking fat sometimes. I really do take it seriously. I try to do what I can and diet to stay in shape and it does make me insecure when I’m heavy."

"I’m a size 6 [UK 10] and have no plans of changing. This is it. Stay on or get off,” the comedian powerfully tweeted in 2015.

The model was frank about her past insecurities to Entertainment Tonight in February: "Honestly, I was so stuck on the scale game. Like, I was the kind of person that was, you know, pre-baby, I weighed myself like three times a day. I knew how much I weighed at 8 a.m. and I knew how much I was supposed to weigh at 1 p.m. and I knew how much I was supposed to weigh at 8 p.m.

"You start to realise that it's not about the number on the scale, it's about how you project yourself."

Back in 2015, Gomez spoke candidly to On Air with Ryan Seacrest after experiencing being body-shamed: "I’d never been body shamed before. I did gain weight but I don’t care. It got to me a little bit."

Jennifer Lawrence

Though J-Law is often heralded as being a relatable celeb she explained that, actually, she probably works out a lot more than you thanks to her career, meaning even she isn't relatable when it comes to weight and body.

"Everybody says, 'We love that there is somebody with a normal body!' And I'm like, 'I don't feel like I have a normal body.' I do Pilates every day. I eat, but I work out a lot more than a normal person. I think we've gotten so used to underweight that when you are a normal weight it's like, 'Oh, my God, she's curvy.' Which is crazy," she told Harper's Bazaar in 2016.

People can get insecure about being too thin too, says supermodel Kendall Jenner.

Back in 2013, she told Harper's Bazaar Arabia: "I'm trying to gain weight but my body won't let it happen. What people don't understand is that calling someone too skinny is the same as calling someone too fat. It's not a nice feeling."

The model put some well needed perspective on BMI earlier this year.

"A lot of bodybuilders have high BMIs. It’s not an indication of your overall health,” she told Vogue. “Like, why put more standards on women saying there’s a maximum BMI? I just think we need to be healthy and I am.”

"I am not naturally the thinnest woman," she told Good Morning America when she was promoting a vegan diet plan in 2015. "I have curves, I'm proud of my curves. I have struggled since a young age with diets. Finding something that actually works - keeps the weight off - has been difficult for me."

9

Khloe Kardashian

“Growing up, I was always chubby,” Khloé told People in 2015. "Being compared to my sisters was something I was used to. But being compared in such a harsh way I just thought, ‘Okay, that’s my role.’ So I started saying it before people. I was like, ‘Okay, I’m the fat, funny sister. Who cares?’ I almost let that take ownership of me. [In reality] I wasn’t fat; I wasn’t obese. But I would let society make me believe that I was.”

In 2015, Adele mused to Rolling Stone: "Would I show my body off if I was thinner? Probably not, because my body is mine. But sometimes I'm curious to know if I would have been as successful if I wasn't plus-size. I think I remind everyone of themselves. Not saying everyone is my size, but it's relatable because I'm not perfect, and I think a lot of people are portrayed as perfect, unreachable and untouchable."

J-Hud famously lost a lot of weight a few years ago. Shortly after, in 2011, she boldly told Self magazine: "I’m prouder of my weight loss than my Oscar."

After being on the end of horrible abuse in 2012, Gaga showed that she really has no time for that BS.

"I don’t really care if they think I’m fat, because, quite honestly, I did gain about 30 pounds," she told Stylist.

In a 2014 interview, Scar Jo modestly - and ridiculously - claimed of her own body: "It’s an ok body, I guess. I wouldn’t say it’s particularly remarkable though. I don’t like my thighs, mid-section but I’m not going to complain."

Danielle Brooks

Back in 2015, the Orange Is The New Black actress shared an empowering message alongside a photo of herself in a crop top at the gym.

"I should not be ashamed of my body. I'm not a walking imperfection. I'm a Goddess. Secondly, I'm a confident woman! That doesn't stop once I take off my spanx. Sometimes it's a struggle. Sometimes I don't like what I see, but I have the power to change the way in which I relate to my body both physically and mentally."
